The Post broke its record for the number of Pulitzer wins in one year, bringing home six of the coveted awards. The previous high for the newspaper was four in 2006. As you can imagine, there was a lot of celebrating in both newsrooms — the print newsroom in Washington and the online newsroom in Arlington (which viewed the announcements via the internet or an internal television channel). I led the Virginia Tech coverage for the site and helped put together the Web components of the other Pulitzer entries, so I and several others from the online newsroom celebrated alongside the editors and reporters in the print newsroom yesterday. I won’t give you too much of a preamble because the video below captures it best. I’ll just say congratulations to my colleagues in print and online for all the hard work that made those awards possible.
